The Newfoundland Shop is proud to announce the release of beautiful new limited edition print by Lloyd Pretty.  His new release titled " The Wharf " captures the scenic beauty of outport Newfoundland with fisherman chatting in a fishing stage near a wharf.   Known for capturing unique cultural memories, Lloyd has shown that the wharf is the symbolic attachment to Newfoundland's once vibrant fishing industry and an integral part of cultural life in Newfoundland and Labrador.  The Newfoundland tri-coloured flag which adorns the window to the shed cannot be understated.  This is the essence of Lloyd's message in this painting since it represents the a time when Newfoundland was a country blessed with many natural resources.  Would this be the topic being discussed in the fishing shed?  Maybe.
