Alan Moores , a Canadian by birth, is now living and
studying art in the beautiful state of Hawaii. He is a graduate of
Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) with a Bachelor of
Arts degree. In 2000 he was awarded Honorable Mention in the Newfoundland
and Labrador Arts and Letters competition and has sold works in both
Canada and the United States.
Alan has been involved in numerous art projects such as stage painting and
prop design for Kittiwake Dance Theatre, most specifically for their
presentations of “The Nutcracker” and “Dance in the Park.”
Painting in oil he focuses the subject matter of his work to provide a
look into the light and mood of a particular place in which he is living
and aims to display his great appreciation of what nature presents.
His works show in both Canadian and American galleries. Most recently one
of his pieces was selected for the Association of Hawaii Artists,
Contemporary Show 2009. |
